W. M. Keck Foundation Research Program
Keck is seeking to fund research aimed at advancing fundamental understanding of natural phenomena and underlying principles, without a specific application or practical use in mind. It seeks to generate new knowledge about how systems work, rather than to develop or test solutions, technologies, or interventions. PIs must be tenure-track faculty or equivalent (both senior and early career researchers are encouraged to apply) .
Typical awards: $1M–$1.3M over 3 years

NIH Director's Early Independence Award
This award (DP5 mechanism) accelerates the entry of exceptional junior investigators (within 16 months after or 12 months before receiving their terminal research degree or completing postgraduate clinical training) into positions of independent research by omitting the traditional postdoctoral training period. The review places a strong emphasis on the qualities of the investigator and the environment provided by the host institution.
Awards will be for up to $350,000 in direct costs per year, plus applicable facilities and administrative (F&A) costs, for up to 5 years. More information can be found on the sponsor's website.

NIH Predoc and Postdoc Transition Award
The purpose of this award is to support promising graduate students as they complete their doctoral research training and transition into mentored postdoctoral career development opportunities in research areas relevant to the missions of participating NIH Institutes and Centers. Award budgets are composed of stipends, tuition and fees, and institutional allowance for up to 5 years of support.

INNS Centers, Programs, and Initiatives Call for Proposals
The Georgia Tech Institute for Neuroscience, Neurotechnology, and Society (INNS) is seeking proposals for new activities that advance interdisciplinary research, education, translation, engagement, and community-building related to neuroscience, neurotechnology, and society. Funding is available across three tiers:
- Initiatives: Up to $5,000 for early-stage ideas, workshops, team formation, and pilot activities
- Programs: Up to $10,000 for more developed interdisciplinary efforts
- Center Activities: Up to $25,000 for new or expanded activities associated with emerging or established centers
The opportunity is open to the entire INNS community, including faculty, research faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and students. Each proposal must include at least one co-PI or co-lead and demonstrate an interdisciplinary approach.

NSF: Unlocking Dataset Value for AI-Enabled Scientific Discovery
This program will advance scientific community datasets to enable scientific discovery and innovation using artificial intelligence (AI) and other methods. Its goal is to increase the value that can be derived from existing scientific datasets by leveraging novel methods and artificial intelligence (AI). Proposals should address dataset security and integrity. Governance and the process for scientific communities to contribute to the datasets should also be addressed. Proposals are encouraged to leverage existing resources.
Anticipated Funding Amount: $60,000,000 to $100,000,000

Seed Grants
IBB Team Seed Grant for Equipment Core Facilities Program
Created to give investigators an opportunity to try select IBB core facility equipment. Only one IBB investigator is needed per application. IBB investigators from Georgia Tech and Emory (who are adjunct faculty members at Georgia Tech) are eligible.
IBB Team Seed Grant Program
Created to bring IBB teams together to plan and submit large grant proposals. All collaborators must be IBB faculty members who hold regular appointments at Georgia Tech. This competition is a rolling submission and the committee will select up to four (4) awards for FY25 at $5,000 per award.
